Drinking stress for breakfast…. Coffee? (aka caffeine)
I did too, it was the warm gratefulness of getting up and getting going
(or else I’d feel like I was dragging for hours)
The problem is coffee spikes your cortisol, which interferes with stable blood sugar. It's the same response as a STRESSFUL experience. (Low energy and impossible weight loss.)
Your nerves are on a “high” of focus and energy. But that doesn’t last, so the body starts to crave this energy, increasing hunger, leading to carb cravings, bingy moments and will end in an afternoon slump.
And it doesn’t have to be that way…. You can still have your coffee and avoid
When we are in this state, your body shuts down “non-survival” mechanisms like:
😵 Digestion: creating multitude of symptoms: gas, bloating, not hungry, inflammation, fatigue etc
😵 Hormones: being in a stressed state too long can bring on menopause (hormone production stops) - serious stuff
😵 It will increase your blood pressure and heart rate.
😵 Get the cold pale clammy sensation as blood is drained from the skin
😵 Creates headaches and migraines because the vascular pressure changes in the brain.
Caffeine is addictive, so going cold turkey may not work for you..Plus some of us LOVE the flavor and the reward coffee gives…. Like me 💗
To make an easier transition off of the smack. Is to add fat to your coffee (MCT oil, coconut oil, butter), and have a petit protein snack as you're running out the door. OR you can also start cutting the caffeine with a decaf version….

Balancing cortisol with fuel (aka fats & protein).
The benefit of the fat in your coffee, or cutting back on the caffeine
IS
💎 More ENERGY
💎 Amazing Blood Sugar Stability
💎 Stubborn weight lifts
💎 Muscles get stronger (so important as estrogen drops)
💎 Hormones balance out
This leads to feeling uplifted in the morning and filled with ENERGY throughout the day.
